1. How does the design that you created demonstrate your knowledge of playing card design?
I copied how the original playing cards are set up and I used the same format, as in how they use the layout of how the put 8 of hearts.
2. How would the rest of the deck look? What would you do for the other picture cards? Please describe in detail?
The rest of the deck would have the same background color and have the flag as the symbol (hearts, spades etc) to give it that patriotic look.
For the picture cards I would make Lady Liberty the Queen card, and have the same layout as the King’s card.
3. How does your design demonstrate your knowledge of adobe illustrator?
I used image trace a lot and the live paint tool, I used the rectangle tool to do the top of the card, and used my color scheme with the eyedropper tool.
4. What do you feel was the most challenging part of this project and why?
The most challenging part of this project was probably the top of the card because it was difficult to find the right image of Lady Liberty and to make it look like all the colors went together, also where to place the Bicycle logo but I think it all looks good together.
5. If you can change one requirements what would it be and why?
I would take away the Bicycle logo only because when I imagined my top card it didn’t have the logo in it so I had to find a way to make it fit but it all worked out.
